The Ultimate Motivated Employee Gary Brose 9781105625459 Books Reviews

Well written collection of strategies and experiences on a variety of industries. I really enjoyed reading results of how to better motivate groups
I was immediately drawn in to the book by the various inspirational quotes by famous people Gary uses. Once I sat down and read the book I couldn't put it down! Along with his own great wisdom in regards to creating a working environment that promotes productivity as well as enjoyment, Gary adds related stories from a variety of formidable business people. This book is a must-read for business owners or managers, aspiring managers, business school students or new employees. a completely enjoyable and worthwhile read that left me inspired. I will surly be making use of all I've gleaned from reading this book.
"I would have liked to see more information concerning performance reviews."
But,
I did learn how to avoid the deadly training mistake nearly every manager and I have made.
I now know I was doing it right; creating an office atmosphere that makes people want to be more better.
Also, I heard "Pay for Performance' programs return more sales, but I wanted more proof.
The book has cought my eye from the very first page. This is a kind of book I've been looking for.

"The Ultimate Motivated Emoloyee" is packed with great quotes. It's full of real life examples of what happens if the managers and supervisors lack the most important skills - being able to meet and exceed company's goals by motivating their employees.

The author analyzes multiple situations that could potentially lead to a conflict, loss of motivation and decreased productivity in any type of corporate environment.

Gary Brose provides the solutions for those situations to be prevented or turned into the resultative corporate relationships equally beneficial for the higher-ups and their employees.

Gary Brose's new book should become a reference guide for the managers of all ranks and for those considering building management careers.

A demotivated and professionally mistreated employee (mentioned in this book in an excerpt from stop-micro-management.com) is something any company would want to avoid.

I highly recommend "The Ultimate Motivated Employee" to all those who consider themselves the career-driven professionals.
I just read a book on management entitled THE ULTIMATE MOTIVATED EMPLOYEE by Gary Brose. Run don't walk to or your favorite bookstore and order this book if you ever have any desire to be in management or run your own business. I once heard it said very accurately"That most businesses succeed by accident".

In fact 95% of businesses fail in the first year. The number one reason, poor management.
I took a success motivation course and the key to success according to the
author was to surround yourself with talented people and listen to them. Hire your weaknesses. Gary did just that in writing his book. He went to other very successful managers and got them to write chapters in his book and they have much wisdom to impart.

Not only do I suggest that you read this book but buy it for your employees and suggest to them if they want to be in management in your company, here is how to do it. Then promote an atmosphere of collaborative teamwork where opinions are welcomed and valued.

The Ultimate Motivated Employee by Gary Brose

(7 Steps to a more productive workforce)

Gary's book includes quotes and his comments as they relate to motivation. Here is one I liked

"A boss creates fear, a leader confidence. A boss fixes blame, a leader corrects mistakes. A boss knows all, a leader asks questions. A boss makes work drudgery, a leader makes it interesting. A boss is interested in himself or herself, a leader is interested in the group." Russell H. Ewing

- And another

"Surround yourself with the best people you can find, delegate authority, and don't interfere as long as the policy you've decided upon is being carried out." Ronald Reagan

Gary says Delegate responsibility-it says that you TRUST THE EMPLOYEE

And,

"In looking for people to hire, you look for three qualities integrity, intelligence and energy. And if they don't have the first, the other two will kill you." Warren Buffet

There is also a great excerpt from Simon Sinek in SIMON SINEK SPEAKS ABOUT LEADERSHIP

Gary also discusses a couple of radical concepts including "Delinking reviews and raises" and restructuring compensation to include greater pay for performance factors.

I have so much to say about this book. First of all I am in the corporate environment daily and can see all of this information valuable to the corporate world and all that are under him. I learned a lot about Leadership and most of the quotes and stories kept me motivated to be all "I can be." Not just at work but also in the outside world. I have been told that I am "over-qualified" for positions and I just don't get that. I have been over looked in many organizations and still it boggles my brain. I know if I were a leader I would follow this book to a "T." It is of my understanding that bosses want to find out and tell their employees "what they do wrong." That is not the way to do it. I know that Praise does work though. I would gladly hire Gary if I were the CEO of any Corporation. I believe in what he writes and I value the hard work that was put into his book.
